Grants & Research Specialist – 122680
The Florida Virtual Campus invites applications for the full-time position of Grants & Research Specialist, position #122680. This position is responsible for providing research and writing support to the office of Organizational Learning & Innovation at the Florida Virtual Campus. This position works extensively with the unit director and the grant development team to complete research and coordination tasks associated with producing thought leadership artifacts and developing grant applications, often requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A High School diploma and seven years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
4-year degree or higher, in a field related to research, instructional design, education, or social sciences preferred.
Ability to collect, analyze, and report qualitative data and findings on grant awards and other relevant projects.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
In depth knowledge of research methods and design.
In depth knowledge of technological trends, issues and accepted practices in areas of responsibility.
Strong analytical, technical, evaluation and problem-solving skills to assess and respond creatively to emerging technologies.
Experience with questionnaire development.
Experience conducting literature reviews.
Experience managing and analyzing datasets
Experience producing descriptive and analytical statistical tables and graphs.
Experience interpreting and writing reports based on data.
Salary Range: $55,000 – 65,000.
Location: The Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC) is part of the University of West Florida. The FLVC has offices in Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Gainesville.
This position will be located in either the Pensacola or Tallahassee office. If located in the Pensacola office, travel to the Tallahassee office should be expected one-two times per month.
Our Pensacola office is located inside the University of West Florida’s Innovation Institute in the heart of historical downtown Pensacola, between the University of West Florida’s main campus and the beautiful white sands of Pensacola Beach. Our Tallahassee office is located in Florida’s capital city inside Innovation Park on the western edge of the Florida State University campus.
