Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences, or designee, the Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for recruiting students to college-wide programs, and to develop and operationalize strategies to enhance the yield of students admitted to the college. This position will work closely with Strategic Enrollment Management to develop strong programming to highlight the college during UIdaho Bound programs and Envision events. This position will coordinate with central recruitment efforts to create strong communication plans with students who are admitted to the college to increase yield. This position will work with program administrators to collect and refine college marketing points and share with appropriate marketing staff. This position will attend recruitment forums to ensure communication between recruitment events and college level events are as coordinated. This position will develop strategies to enhance the student visit (campus tour) programs within the college to encourage students to move to the next stage in the enrollment funnel. This position will develop and support a college ambassador program, and will also work with external stakeholders and constituencies, including alumni, to help develop professional opportunities that enhance recruitment and retention strategies.
Bachelors degree in liberal arts or related field.
Minimum 2 years work experience in higher education related to student recruitment/retention activities.
Experience with basic computer business software such as Microsoft Office.
Previous experience in organization, leadership, and management of events.
Masters degree in liberal arts or related field.
Knowledge and familiarity of all degree programs in the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences.
Knowledge of the University of Idaho and the state of Idaho.
Evidence of strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work both independently and flourish in a team environment.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Valid drivers license.
Ability to lift, carry, and/or otherwise move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Willingness to work odd hours, including weekends and some travel.
