University Centers and Events (UCE) encompasses the University Union, Gateway Center and Coliseum. University Centers and Events (UCE), provides quality programs, services, and facilities that enhance the educational experience and create a community for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. We assist students to become good citizens of a global community, prepared to function in a diverse world.

The University Union features 330,000 sq. ft. filled with campus services, dining options, meeting and event spaces, and programming, arts, and activities.
Position Overview
Position is responsible for managing processes, providing guidance and direction to personnel, and coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to perform responsibilities. The position is responsible for sensitive and confidential information.
Position will manage personnel functions and processes, such as recruitment, hiring, training, payroll, staff development, terminations, recognition, guidance on departmental and university policies, and employee relations. Position will coordinate with the UNT Systems HR Generalist liaison.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience minimum in human resources, labor relations, organizational develop or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in accordance with employment regulations.
Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
Leadership and coaching skills.
Demonstrates effective problem solving and resourceful thinking.

Preferred Qualifications
A master’s degree plus three years of experience minimum in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area
