Summary:

Do you have a passion for building relationships and developing individuals for success?
The Concurrent Enrollment department at UVU is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified individual to act as a liaison between high school instructors and UVU departments. As part of these liaison duties, the Professional Development Coordinator will create and execute a professional onboarding process that includes information regarding Concurrent Enrollment processes and department-specific content training. The Professional Development Coordinator also seeks out ongoing professional development opportunities for new and veteran instructors. This includes coordinating an annual professional development conference, verifying and tracking site visits between the UVU department and their high school instructor(s), and additional training deemed necessary by the academic department.

The Professional Development Coordinator position is highly collaborative with critical stakeholders. With assistance from Concurrent Enrollment administration, this position schedules annual department visits and sets up meetings to resolve any instructor/course obstacles. The position collaborates with the Outreach/Event Coordinator to organize professional development events throughout the year, schedules annual appointments with department chairs, and ensures that departments across campus make the required contact with high school instructors. This position is also responsible for applying the teacher tuition waiver benefit for active CE instructors. Required Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelors degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge |
Knowledge of the Concurrent Enrollment program
Experience working with high school teachers and university faculty
Knowledge of course content and curriculum development
Skills |
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Skill in organizing resources and priorities, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Skill organizing events
Abilities |
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to gather data and evaluate its effectiveness
Ability to work collaboratively with academic stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in event support preferred College degree/certificate preferred

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in a normal office environment.

Pay Range: $32,145 - $42,914
