Overview

We are seeking a Graduate Program Coordinator to support the Department of Computer Science (CS) in the School of Engineering. The Department's primary activity is teaching undergraduate and graduate students and conducting research. The department is highly research active and is home to the largest undergraduate major at Tufts. We also have approximately 300 students enrolled in our various graduate programs. The department recently relocated to a 30,000+ square foot space in the new Joyce Cummings Center on the Medford campus.

 


What You'll Do

The Graduate Program Coordinator will provide advanced administrative support and coordination for the various graduate programs across the CS department, especially for our growing online Masters and certificate programs. They will handle complex and confidential situations and requests and serve in a highly visible capacity as a resource for the department with students, staff, faculty, and other constituents.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with current students in online graduate programs, including providing basic advising support
  • Coordinate and liaise with existing and potential course instructors, manage contracts, payments, and help with general onboarding issues
  • Update and track student and program information
  • Organize and manage course development documentation and scheduling
  • Respond to various inquiries, handle issues and provide relevant information to current and prospective students


What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:

  • Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma or GED equivalency and 5+ years of administrative support experience OR a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of administrative support experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including word processing, editing and graphics functions, spreadsheets, and database knowledge
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to help our students succeed in our programs
