The EOPS program supports the success of low-income and educationally disadvantaged students by providing them with above-and-beyond services such as book credits, counseling, and one-on-one tutoring. This position supports EOPS students by providing them with math tutorial sessions. Tutorial support takes place in person, online, and embedded in the classroom. This position helps students to learn and understand math concepts and develop skills to promote academic success. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of math subjects, good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to understand and adapt to different learning styles. In addition, they should have experience working with individuals from diverse ethnic, racial, socio-economic, academic, and cultural backgrounds.

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Over the summer this position is off in June and July.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a medical history questionnaire and must agree to undergo and pass a pre-employment physical examination, based on the physical requirements of the position, prior to employment. The fee charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the fingerprint report is the employee's responsibility. If you should be offered this position you will be asked to sign a payroll deduction form which will authorize the District to deduct the fee charged by the DOJ from your first paycheck.
