Summary
This position will serve in a senior leadership position on the Athletics Director executive senior staff. Responsible for strategic and effective leadership to the athletic director as a member of executive senior staff. Provides vision and leadership to the division such as Development, Corporate Sponsorship, Strategic Communications, Community Engagement, and Ticketing. Ensures effective communication of departmental strategies and goals to coaches, administrators, student-athletes, and other external campus constituents.

Responsible for the development and communication of strategic annual and long-term divisional plans. Ensures positive and collaborative relationships with key constituents on campus. Responsible for effective sport supervision and continued evaluation of assigned varsity sport programs through effective oversight, communication, and collaboration with Head Coaches. Assist with job evaluation, development and continued professional growth of employees in the unit.

Essential Job Duties  and Responsibilities

Represents the University with various athletic conferences and other organizations as required
Ensures compliance with rules and regulations governing the athletic program
Serves as a resource for the University regarding athletic related rules and regulations
Manages and coordinates the day-to-day operations of all compliance issues
Develops and implements a comprehensive compliance database in the Athletic department to assist the monitoring and reporting of compliance-related  information
Responsible for reporting all possible NCAA violations directly to the Athletics Director
Collaborates in the development of policies and procedures designed to assure achievement of internally and externally established goals and objectives, and continuous evaluation of individual and unit performances toward achievement of those goals and objectives
Manages funds by staying within an annual budget developed for selected sports which includes equipment, travel, facility, training, or related resource needs and exercising fmal authority over selected sports’ expenditures
Assists with planning, coordinating, and supervising fund-raising events and promotions activates for intercollegiate athletics
Ensures athletic events held on the University campus run smoothly and project a positive image of the intercollegiate athletics program
Supervisors event management during home games, verify all event support staff is onsite with sufficient supplies and equipment and ready to perform their duties
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

Qualifications

Bachelor’s  degree
At least five years of work experience in the athletics collegiate setting
At least two years of work experience related to Title IX
Must have work experience mentoring and working with collegiate student-athletes
Must have work experience with NCAA Division II college athletics
Must have work experience with NCAA rules and regulations
Must have work experience with the NCAA Diversity and Inclusion efforts and goals

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Computer and organizational skills
Strong leadership abilities
Demonstrated ability to generate solutions to improve efficiency and quality
Demonstrated  ability to make clear, transparent, and timely decisions

Commensurate with education, training and experience
