The Associate Director of Admissions assists with all aspects of the admissions process. The Associate Director will review applicants' files, assess applicants' qualifications for admission to law school, and make admission recommendations. In addition, this position also requires representing the law school at recruitment fairs, forums and panels; counseling students regarding the admissions process; and developing and implementing strategies for recruiting and yielding diverse prospective students. Other responsibilities include: assisting in the planning and implementation of Orientation, open houses, webinars, information sessions, and other recruitment activities; developing working relationships with undergraduate and graduate institutions, pre-law advisors, pre-law societies, and other external constituents; updating the Admissions section of website and assisting with other publications and communications; and performing other duties and special projects as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Admissions. This position requires occasional evening and weekend event responsibilities and seasonal recruiting travel.
The Associate Director of Admissions will also serve as a liaison between prospective students and other external constituents on issues related to diversity and inclusion in legal education and the profession as a whole. The Associate Director will engage with current students and Law School administrators to help develop and implement policies, programs, and curricular requirements that foster an environment of diversity and inclusion at Villanova Law School.

Duties and Responsibilities
Review applicants files; assess applicants qualifications for admission to law school, make admission recommendations. Coordinate and assist with applicant interviews.
Plan and execute open houses, receptions, information sessions, webinars and other recruitment activities. Represent Villanova Law at recruitment fairs, law forums and panels. Oversee student, faculty, and alumni ambassador outreach programs.
Develop and implement diversity pipeline programs and initiatives in coordination and consultation with the Assistant Dean and other Law School leadership. Act as liaison with LSACs DiscoverLaw.org on issues related to diversity and pipeline initiatives, as well as other LSAC projects.
Structure and implement various admissions-related programs as needed, including but not limited to Admitted Students Day, Widger Leadership Summits, summer yield events, and Orientations Programs.
Update the Admissions section of website and ensure publications are up to date. Assist with the creation of a monthly newsletter to prospective students and various admissions brochures and marketing materials. Manage and monitor Facebook group for entering class.
Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Admissions.
3-5 years of experience in admissions or relevant work experience
Must have working knowledge of the following computer systems: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, popular website browsers and various online platforms, and other software as required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Experience in law school admissions preferred
Knowledge of ACES2 preferred
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
Willing to travel by car/air/train.
