The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and enrollment of the first-year and transfer class each year for the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts. Admissions is charged with meeting various enrollment goals across schools and programs.
What You'll Do
The Admissions Assistant handles all general operations of the Admissions Office, including greeting visitors, arranging visits to campus, responding to inquiries from the general admissions email and phone, managing student tour guide program, and assisting in on and off-campus event planning.
The Admissions Assistant works closely to coordinate all phases of Admissions application systems, makes recommendations to improve the overall efficiency of the Admissions Department through its operations procedures, and assists in inputting applications and application materials.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a high school diploma/GED and 2-4 years of administrative experience OR college degree with 1-3 years’ experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including word processing, editing, graphics, spreadsheet and database knowledge
- Bookkeeping or basic accounting knowledge
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Given the necessity of being on campus to facilitate visit operations, this is a primarily in-person, on-site role, with some opportunities for remote work throughout the calendar year.
Minimum $21.80, Midpoint $25.95, Maximum $30.10
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
