Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for an HR/Finance System Analyst to join the IT Team. Reporting to the Manager of eBusiness Suite, the HR/Finance System Analyst is an experienced analyst who will support and enhance the University’s core enterprise application, effectively and efficiently applying technological and business solutions. The HR/Finance Systems Analyst acts as a functional expert to support the business processes for one or more administrative departments within the University. This role will be critical in helping the university migrate from Oracle eBusiness Suite to a Cloud HCM/ERP product.

Ideal candidates should possess substantial experience with HR or Finance Enterprise Applications, cloud technology, relational databases and their architecture, use of SQL and reporting tools, data interfaces and data process automation. Candidates should be comfortable with a dynamic environment that shifts according to business needs and priorities. The HR/Finance Systems Analyst shall insist upon exceptional, positive and effortless customer service with colleagues within and beyond the institution.

This position requires a strong communicator with a team-player attitude that will serve both as an individual contributor and leader on various projects. When leading projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle and insuring the quality and timeliness of all deliverables.

Responsibilities include the following:

Works directly with administrative departments to solve complex application and data issues within our HR or Finance application.
Define, build and implement enhancements to processes and structure that will drive efficiencies, improve the alignment to business objectives and ability to help drive business results.
Provides application support (on demand support, error resolution, defect correction, reporting and training) for functional users with an emphasis on one or more applications.
Coordinates systems upgrades and testing, and works in a team environment to develop and maintain application programs.
Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, business process functions, and steps required to develop, improve, and automate or test information systems.
Manages projects and tasks to ensure goals and objectives are completed on time.
Modifies configurations, reports and workflows as necessary to support business units. Participate in peer reviews to ensure the delivery of quality solutions.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new interfaces and initiatives to support and enhance the existing systems.
Assists with vendor management related to the administration support for related applications.
Identifies how available software tools can be employed to support and improve existing processes.
Assists with needs assessments, system integrations, design support, and general change management support.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field
Experience in all phases of the technology implementation life-cycle (requirements gathering, design, build, go-live, testing)
Knowledge of interface construction
Prior experience working in an application support role with strong ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with cloud applications
Prior experience providing system support to HR and/or Finance Teams Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

Ability to work within a team-centric, fast paced work environment and able to multi-task, set priorities, work independently and proactively with limited direction and work effectively under the pressures of multiple competing deadlines
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Strong oral and written communication is essential in keeping the stakeholders well informed as well as the internal and wider team. Strong customer service experience including documentation and training skills are essential
Demonstrate strong character, emphasizing integrity, caring, and honesty, as well as loyalty to the institution
Maintain positive and respectful engagement with colleagues and clients
Willingness to mentor and be mentored
Adhere to divisional and university policies and procedures
