New employees will begin on Step A ($6,378.93), Step B ($6,697.88) with 18 months of verified, paid, full-time equivalent related job experience or up to Step C ($7,032.78) with 36 months of verified, paid, full-time equivalent related job experience. For purposes of salary placement, 7.5 semester units (or equivalent quarter units) of directly related coursework from a regularly accredited institution will be equivalent to one (1) year of job experience. Step C is the maximum step placement for a new hire, and this is non-negotiable at this time. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA. This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime). Excellent Benefits are provided to all Contract employees with assignments greater than, or equal to, 50% (0.50 FTE) and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will apply to the employee entering this assignment. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

  • At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in web design and programming, specifically designing and building web-based architectures using a content management system (CMS), HTML, ColdFusion, Java, Ajax, CSS, and/or ASP.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in web design, web programming, or a related field desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with commercial Internet/web tools and programming languages, as well as experience with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) server configurations, including virtualized directories and vanity URLs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex web application issues, including debugging logic and syntax errors, and diagnosing server problems in collaboration with network and data center staff.
  • In-depth understanding of current web design standards, regulations, and laws, ensuring that all web solutions are accessible, usable, and compliant with industry best practices and legal requirements.
  • Experience managing the entire web development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical specification writing, design, quality assurance, and deployment management.
  • Ability to assess web effectiveness through site traffic analysis and performance optimization, ensuring that websites are timely, accessible, and user-friendly.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with proven experience working in collaborative teams and mentoring staff on web technologies and programming techniques.

    • Attend a new hire processing appointment in People, Culture, and Technology Services located at the District Administrative Offices.



EMPLOYMENT AFTER RETIREMENT
