The Poulsen lab is part of the Department of Neurosurgery in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS). We are located in the Clinical Translational Research Center (CTRC) on the downtown medical campus. Our laboratory is focused on the development of therapeutic applications for the treatment of stroke, TBI and post-traumatic epilepsy.
We are currently seeking applicants with experience in lab animal care. The successful applicant will:
- Assist in rat surgeries, monitor and record behavioral and cognitive assessments. Post-surgical monitoring and care will be required.
- Place animal orders as well as assisting the lab manager in maintaining adequate inventory supplies.
- Collect and review data analysis. Use this collection to write research reports, publications and grant applications.
