Overview
Tufts Technology Services is seeking a Change Manager to support our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system transformation team. This position will support the ERP Transformation team through the design and implementation of a change management network, strategy of executing change, including integrated communication planning, design, and execution to Tufts ambition. The primary responsibility of this organizational change manager is to develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes. The manager, with guidance as needed from the Director, ensures the ERP Transformation project meets program objectives through consistent, transparent, and informative change management and implementation. They support the project’s change management objectives of transforming business process for maximum efficiency. The goal of the Change Manager is to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of changes, and proficiency with the changes that impact employees who must utilize the changes in their daily work.
What You'll Do
Change Management:
- Lead change management and user adoption by working closely with the ERP transformation change management, training, design, and deployment support teams to develop appropriate and effective messaging for internal audiences
- Implements a change management framework that will instill a network to adopt the facilitation of transformation
- Assess how change can impact processes, systems, tools, job roles, workflows, mindsets, behaviors and more
- Focuses on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organization structures
- Consults, coaches, and supports senior leaders, executives, managers, and supervisors in the management and delivery of communications, and helps them achieve success in transitioning changes to employees
- Supports project teams in integrating change management activities into the project plans
- Coordinate strategy and deliverables for presentations and events
- Conducts impact analyses of changes, assesses change readiness; and identifies, analyzes, and prepares risk mitigation tactics
- Tracks and reports issues, defines and measures success metrics, and monitors change progress
Communications:
- Develop, write, and edit appropriate communication vehicles, including web content, PowerPoint presentations, e-mail communications, news stories, and marketing materials with support from TTS Marketing Communications Manager as needed
- Coordinate with TTS Marketing Communications Manager on internal communications, user adoption promotion, and knowledge dissemination
Engagement:
- Identify and manage key internal stakeholder engagement, including frequent communication to business process owners, subject matter experts, executive leadership report-outs, and providing timely updates on the project’s status
- Manage School & Division engagement and outreach; assist with staff engagement, outreach, and focus groups for end-user input and feedback on system design and rollout plan as needed
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience in communications, change management, ERP implementations, and/or large-scale organizational change efforts
- Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
- Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
- Familiarity with Project Management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
- Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
- Skills and experience typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Knowledge of desktop publishing, web-based communications, and web page development
- Change management certification or designation desired
This job involves responsibilities that are performed in a remote working environment but must be within 2 hours driving distance as there may be a need to come to campus on occasion.
