Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and team-oriented ASP.NET programmer to contribute within our application services unit to meet the needs of research, instruction and administrative applications for faculty, students and staff. This individual will contribute to the design, development, testing and deployment of applications and will be a contributor at all levels of the development life cycle, including: project planning, programming, testing/debugging, documentation, training, follow-up support and continual evaluation. The individual will be expected to learn new technologies, to contribute as part of a team and to take responsibility for assignments and deadlines. We attempt to maintain a flexible but high-energy environment with exciting, impactful projects.   • Develop, test, and deploy application code in the database, middleware DLLs, and web projects. Implement and support occasional vendor-built systems
  • Assist with quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing to ensure functionality adheres to specifications
  • Identify and define functional and technical specifications to meet explicit business requirements
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues in a highly professional and dedicated manner
  • Create and maintain database queries for Crystal, RDLC, or other reporting tools
  • Continual improvement of programming skills

Required Skills


  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing ASP.NET applications
  • Certification in Application Development and relevant technology is a plus
  • Proficiency developing enterprise-class ASP.NET 4.7 web forms/MVC applications in Visual Studio 2019 (C# and/or VB) that interact with relational databases
  • Proficiency with relational databases (ideally, MS SQL Server), i.e. ability to create tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and foreign keys
  • Object-oriented development experience
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Highly Preferred:

  • Proficiency developing enterprise MVC .Net Core 3 applications
  • Database Reporting using SSRS/RDLC, Power BI, or Crystal Reports
  • N-Tiered development (separate layers for presentation, business logic, and database access)
  • Proficiency with LINQ, JavaScript, CSS, j-Query, and AJAX


  • Experience with a reactive framework (Vue, Angular, React, etc.)
  • Azure DevOps Server / Team Foundation Server
  • SDLC, Agile, and ITIL knowledge or certification
  • Telerik or other Third-Party .NET controls, NUnit and Windows service development
