What You'll Do
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Technician to join our cutting-edge research team, focused on understanding the epigenetic and metabolic control of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) life cycle and tumorigenesis. This is a unique opportunity to gain training and experience in viral oncology, using state-of-the-art technologies such as genome-wide CRISPR screens, RNA sequencing, ChIP-seq, metabolomics, lipidomics, and isotope-labeled metabolic tracing.
Responsibilities include:
- Works closely with the Principal Investigator to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
- Monitors the functioning of laboratory equipment, organizes and maintains logbooks and supplies
- Contributes to a supportive and collaborative team work environment
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in science with up to one year of laboratory experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Must be able to fluently communicate, read, and write in the English language
- Self-motivation, consistent attention to detail, excellent organizational, communication, time management skills are extremely critical
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Previous research laboratory experience using microbiology and/or molecular biology techniques
Pay Range
Minimum $19.30, Midpoint $23.15, Maximum $27.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
