Position Summary

The Financial Management unit as part of Business Services at the University at Buffalo is seeking a University Financial Statement Accountant. In this role you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our esteemed educational institution. In this role your key responsibilities will be:

    • Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis
    • Compliance and Reporting
    • Data Reconciliation
    • Financial Process Improvement
    • Financial Data Integrity and Security
    • Collaboration and Communication
    • Audit Preparation and Support

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of two years experience
  • Proficient Financial reporting software applications and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
