Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Alumni team is growing and adding an Alumni Engagement Coordinator. The Coordinator will assist in the planning, creation, and deployment of digital communications with a 50% or greater focus on our Worldwide audience. Using an array of online social media resources and platforms, as well as analytical tools that study social media use, traffic, and impact, the Coordinator will also directly engage in soliciting support via electronic means. The Coordinator will strategize to acquire information crucial to expanding our donor base by generating more than 5,000 trackable profile updates annually through a series of data-acquisition-focused mini-campaigns. An annual solicitation outcomes goal will be set, beginning with $10,000 in the first year and rising thereafter in future years. Solicitations will be digital in nature, such as via crowdfunding or text to give. The $10,000 outcome may reflect any university initiative. Special efforts will be made to pursue support for our Worldwide Campus.
This position will be required to work at our Worldwide campus (located in Daytona) and Daytona Alumni Office as appropriate. The Coordinator must be articulate, professional and polished, have good judgment, and be tech savvy, energetic and strongly proactive, and a capable creator of content. They must possess analytical skills and use their talents to help strategically boost alumni engagement scores. Engaging national and international alumni may require weekend and evening work.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years relevant experience, two of which must be in alumni relations at a college or university, an understanding of higher education and its mission and excellent oral and written communication skills. Incumbent will have significant and relatively independent regional responsibilities in supporting the university mission for advancement, recruiting and campus external events in support of both the university’s alumni relations program and the campus. This position requires an ability to work well under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. There may be expected travel and evening and weekend work is expected. A preference will be provided to candidates who attended and are alumni of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
In addition, candidate must have strong analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems such as Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
