Position Summary

The Senior Project Coordinator provides professional level support to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics as a coordinator for research studies under the supervision of Principal Investigators and Senior Research Support Specialists. You are responsible for assisting study teams with a number of tasks coordinating all research-related activities.

Tasks include:
    • Collaborate with research team to coordinate multiple projects for a large-scale research portfolio including but not limited to NIH-funded studies and contracts; industry sponsored studies, contracts, and foundation funded projects
    • Format and coordinate manuscript tracking and submissions
    • Ensure research compliance and IRB monitoring for all assigned studies, including progress and interim reports
    • Maintain research compliance through IRB monitoring for all assigned studies, literature reviews, and special projects
    • Serve as a liaison between investigators, leaders, administration research teams, agency and industry sponsors
    • Assist with administrative project coordination such as meeting organization, presentation preparation, and grant and contract submissions.

 


Responsibilities vary depending on the type of projects across multiple sub-specialties and on behalf of the Chairman and other investigators/teams nationally and internationally (clinical trials, federal, data management, and other).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of related experience in a health care, research or educational environment.
  • Computer literate with familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Reliable & dependable, have great communication skills and be able to work well in multiple teams and with other project coordinators.
