Job Summary
Simmons University is looking for an Assistant Director of Admissions to join the Online Graduate Admissions team. Reporting to the Admissions Director, the Assistant Director plays a critical role in managing the admissions process for online graduate program(s). The Assistant Director of Admissions will have managerial and operational responsibilities to the admissions process, and has the opportunity to help shape recruitment strategies from outreach through graduation.

This is a Boston based, 40 hour a week position.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage the application review process and admission committee for designated online graduate program(s)
  • Ensure admissions decisions are consistent and made in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Simmons and our marketing and technology partner
  • Consult and collaborate with academic leadership on key admissions and marketing initiatives, including admission trends and best practices
  • Execute and improve processes, and evaluate data in order to recommend targeted initiatives to positively impact student recruitment.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university required
  • At least 3 years admissions experience, preferred in a non-profit college or university, with extensive file review experience
  • Proven track record of successful collaboration with individuals in other offices/business units, as well as ability to work independently
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills, including ability to adapt in new and rapidly changing situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation software
  • Comfort with online webinar technology (i.e. Zoom, Adobe Connect, Webex, GoToMeeting, Skype)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have a strong commitment to education
  • This position will require some weeknight/evening availability, and flexibility is required
