Position Summary
Implements study protocols for various projects. Assists with recruiting, screening, scheduling and coordinating appointments, and testing research participants. This work includes preparation of materials, conducting screening interviews, administering measures such as neuropsychological and cognitive tests as well as neurocognitive tests. Basic knowledge of dense electrode EEG testing. In addition, the Research Support Specialist will employ Netstation software to process EEG data in order to obtain event-related brain potentials. SPSS and PRISM software will be used to perform data analyses and to summarize results. Assistance with the development and documentation of research protocols and tracking participants’ testing procedures are also part of the responsibilities of this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in Psychology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or other health-related field.
  • Literate in Microsoft Office
  • Experience performing scientific literature searches
  • Research experience in Cognitive Neuroscience
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Basic Statistical knowledge and use of SPSS statistical software, and PRISM
  • Basic knowledge of dense electrode EEG data acquisition and processing
  • Some knowledge about Multiple Sclerosis
  • Able to follow steps inresearch protocol

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of research experience
  • Experience with Netstation software
  • Experience with dense electrode EEG testing
  • Experience administering cognitive and neuropsychological tests
  • Experience coordinating with multiple collaborators on a given project
  • Experience with conducting clinical interviews.
