Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
This position seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Extension and Outreach Program Manager. The position will provide direct assistance to project leads throughout all of the community-based programming related to Extension. Program design, planning, evaluation, and reporting will be a priority. This position is essential to align all programs delivered in all 20 plus counties served with accepted USDA outputs and outcomes and other USDA-designated regulations. This position calls for excessive of travel and maybe stationed in a county office(s).
The successful candidate will:
Assist Extension Leadership in project planning and design.
Assist Extension Leadership and Personnel Evaluator to develop effective program evaluation.
Coordinate and manage project interdependencies.
Work with the Extension Leadership and Faculty Specialists on writing and securing extramural funding for community-based and community-education projects.
Cross-project resource management.
Identify and address problems and risks in established programs.
Assist the Administrator on program documentation and reporting.
Align or realign deliverables with program outcomes.
Other duties as assigned by the Extension Administrator/Associate Dean for Extension
Masters degree in relevant field
Experience in grant writing, reviewing, and managing
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrate organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrate leadership skills
Independent Self Starter/Team Player
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Masters degree in relevant field preferred
Commensurate with education, training, and experience
