The University at Buffalo, Sponsored Projects Services office is seeking a Award Analyst I. Under the direction of the Director Post-Award, and in a team-oriented environment, the Award Analyst manages a portfolio of sponsored funded awards and acts as the primary point of contact working collaboratively with faculty and staff by providing information regarding policies and procedures, resolving issues and ensuring the proper review, process and approval of sponsored related expenditures (referred to as post-award activities).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide top notch customer service to faculty in support of their sponsored awards.
- Analyze, approve and process expenditure activities for sponsored awards to ensure compliance with sponsor's terms and conditions and all other regulatory requirements.
- Post-award management of sponsored awards in assigned portfolio that includes advising University faculty and staff on policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring the reporting requirements of sponsored awards in assigned portfolio to ensure timely reporting to sponsors in collaboration with other SPS positions.
Possible flexible work schedule.
The Sponsored Projects Services office provides leadership in grants and contracts administration from proposal development to closeout. We work closely with University faculty to oversee the submission of grant proposals and ensure the responsible stewardship of research funding according to State, University, Federal and sponsor specific regulations.
