Overview
We are seeking a Program Coordinator to work in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine. Part of the Tufts University School of Medicine, this department is the academic home to the public health graduate programs, and is devoted to the promotion of public health through education, research, population-based and patient-centered advocacy, shaping health policy, and community service.
What You'll Do
The Program Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager to execute daily operations and provide administrative support.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and managing a Master Task List / Project Plan spreadsheet for the Department
- Tracking tasks, ensuring communications and progress against upcoming deadlines
- Preparing slide decks and team meeting agendas
- Scheduling, monitoring (minutes) and note keeping for team meetings
- Liaising with program students and send reminder emails
- Organizing and documenting of data and processes
- Grant-related tracking of program progress and support of all other program activities
- Supporting the Program Manager in any related tasks
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
- Knowledge and skills typically acquired through the completion of a High School diploma and 5+ years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of related office experience
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Suite, Zoom, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and proactively
- Requires strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for healthcare / public health and lifelong learning
- Experience in a team-based environment with proven track record of supporting complex projects and timelines
