Overview
The Tufts Institute for Artificial Intelligence (TIAI) will bring together social and natural scientists, engineers and ethicists from across the university to develop and advance the field of Integrated Artificial Intelligence. TIAI will differentiate itself by taking a human-centric approach to AI systems, focused on improving the human experience through sensing and precision analytics systems.
Integrated AI, when developed ethically and with a social justice perspective, will transform how we understand ourselves and our fellow humans, revolutionizing and personalizing healthcare, education, and work. TIAI will be an international leader in the science and engineering of ethically sound, socially just, precision AI.
What You'll Do
The Administrative Coordinator will provide support and coordination for TIAI and the inaugural TIAI Director.
Responsibilities are summarized as follows:
- Responds to inquiries and provides detailed information to constituents.
- Organizes and maintains files and databases; designs and updates applications or other forms for data entry.
- Coordinates logistics for meetings and events including travel and arrangements for speakers.
- Executes financial transactions and monitors budget.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
- High School diploma and 1-3 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 0-3 years of related office experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple constituents
- Outgoing and approachable with a professional demeanor with strong customer focus
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and concurrent deadlines with frequent interruptions
- Highly-motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented, able to handle confidential matters with discretion, have excellent prioritization, creative problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable to shifts in prioritization of projects and still be able to keep projects going
Preferred Qualfications:
- Knowledge of or experience in the subject matter
