Overview
The primary responsibility of the Department of Prosthodontics lies in the education and training of predoctoral and postdoctoral students in the restorative aspects of bringing a damaged dentition back to biologic health, function, esthetics and comfort. This is accomplished by teaching and practicing the clinical techniques of modern restorative dentistry and prosthodontics including implant dentistry on the basis of current evidence in the related sciences. The department integrates predoctoral and postgraduate prosthodontics and our related programs, Advanced Education in Esthetic and Operative Dentistry, Advanced Dental Technology and Research, and Advanced Digital Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry Fellowship.
What You'll Do
The Administrative Assistant for the Department of Prosthodontics will be primarily responsible for all administrative tasks which support the Department Chairman. Additionally, s/he is responsible for coordinating and conducting business internally/externally, which supports the department’s infrastructure under the direction of the Chairman and Department Manager.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
1. One to three years.
2. Associate’s Degree or the equivalent.
3. Demonstrated advance level of computer skills in current versions of word processing, spreadsheet, and graphic programs e.g., Microsoft (MS) Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Five (5) years administrative secretarial experience in an academic setting.
Knowledge of dental school practices and computer systems i.e., PeopleSoft, e-Expense.
