This role is responsible for working in a self-supervisory nature to develop and manage a $30M+ budget and related activities, including regular and accurate analysis and forecasting. Additionally, this position will oversee the Business Office staff and the day-to-day components of business operations. The incumbent will report to the Deputy Athletic Director, Chief Operating Officer.
Budget Management: Manage all aspects of the intercollegiate athletics budget and oversee the day-to- day operations of the Business Office.
Forecasting and Guidance: Utilize financial analysis and budget forecasting to shift resources appropriately, and offer guidance to Deputy Athletics Director, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Athletics.
Financial Oversight/Reporting: Monitor payables/receivables, procurement, travel, per diem card program and reconciliation. Supervise the maintenance of financial accounts, coordinate financial reporting (NCAA/ EADA) and monthly and year-end journals. Assume financial signatory and provide electronic approvals.
Administrative Duties: Represent the Department of Athletics at various campus meetings as well as departmental meetings. Update departmental policies and communicate SUNY guidelines.
Additional Duties: Responsible for executing additional duties and responsibilities related to Athletics Administration as requested by Deputy Athletic Director, Chief Operating Officer. These responsibilities may include nights and weekends.
