Office of University Relations
Under the supervision of the Director of Multimedia Production and Strategy, the Video Producer (Professional Services Specialist IV) is responsible for shooting and editing video and photography content to create stories that effectively promote the University and its programs. The Video Producer works as part of a team to deliver visually appealing and engaging content on tight deadlines each week throughout the academic year; performs basic professional functions using established policies, procedures and guidelines; and does related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience shooting and editing video and photography content is required. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Candidate must have basic knowledge of the principles and techniques of shooting and editing video and photography; the ability to use Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and/or other editing tools to create video content; and the ability to develop informative and appealing content for public consumption. This position also requires the physical ability to perform essential functions including, but not limited to: the ability to physically lift, bend, move and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
