This is a limited term position ending January 31, 2021. This is a part-time position working 17.5 hours per week. This is a grant funded position and is not eligible for severance pay.

The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, established in 1981, is the only self-governing graduate and professional school of nutrition in North America. Its mission is to improve the nutritional well-being of people worldwide through:
The creation of new knowledge
The application and dissemination of evidence-based information and
The education and training of future leaders in the field

This mission is fulfilled by bringing together experts from the areas of clinical nutrition, social and public policy, and biomedicine. Faculty at the school include biomedical scientists, economists, epidemiologists, nutritionists, physicians, political scientists and psychologists who focus on a myriad of issues with the common thread of nutrition and its role in fostering the growth and development of human populations.

The Food Aid Quality Review (FAQR) project, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development’s Office of Food for Peace (USAID/FFP), seeks to provide actionable recommendations on ways to improve nutrition among vulnerable populations for whom the direct distribution of food aid can make a significant impact. In coordination with the Principal Investigators and Project Manager, the Data Analyst will assist with management and analysis of data collected by the FAQR team and prepare reports and manuscripts related to the findings of these analyses. The Data Analyst will meet regularly with other members of the FAQR team to provide progress updates, participate in consultations with USAID/FFP funders, and contribute to related conferences and external events, as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
Master’s degree in a related discipline and 1-2 years of related professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in nutrition, global health, or related field and 2+ years of professional experience related to humanitarian assistance or nutrition/global health preferred.
Proficiency using statistical analysis software, such as Stata, SAS, or R.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Occasional meetings/events and reporting deadlines require working beyond normal office hours.
