Responsibilities
  • Perform operational maintenance of the Groundwork Monitoring application, including updates, patching, user administration, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans.
  • Provide tier 2 customer support for supported applications.
  • Integrate new and existing devices and applications into the monitoring system.
  • Prepares application documentation for all levels of users.
  • Maintains security configurations.
  • Works on data network assignments for large or complex systems.
  • Analyzes business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Train all levels of users in the proper operation and use of supported applications.


Required Qualifications
  • Has in-depth knowledge of the GroundWork Open Source monitoring suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux Operating System principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking methodologies and topologies.
  • Has knowledge and skills in application and network monitoring systems, including Nagios, Cacti, and Cricket.
  • Has knowledge of Selenium browser automation, or similar product.
  • Has knowledge of applications programming technologies, tools and protocols.
  • Has knowledge of complex, multi-tiered application environments.
  • Has familiarity/experience with network layers 2&3 devices (especially Cisco and Brocade), SNMP, and syslog.


Education/Training:
  • Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
