This position is located within the Facilities Department at the University. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for:
  • Inspecting roofing systems and identify existing and potential deficiencies.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to roofing systems using accepted industry standards.
  • Modifying and altering roofing materials.
  • Identifying sources of roof leaks and damages.
  • Make temporary and permanent repairs on roof systems.
  • Conduct water tests to verify integrity of completed repairs.
  • Clean roof drains on roofs.
  • Check and repair roof hatches.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment of the roofing trade.
  • Install pavers on roofs that are wind damaged.
  • Provide guidance and training in roofing work to other Facilities personnel.
