Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Interpret and enforce grant policies and procedures related to external funding
Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis as required by assigned funding agencies
Prepare monthly drawdown reports for reimbursable expenditures for grants on letter of credit
Maintain grant receivable for assigned grant accounts
Record budget revisions at the request of the principal investigators to the general ledger
Review and approve all expenditure documents for compliance (personnel action forms, check requests, requisitions, student employment, etc.)
Maintain grant/contract files for assigned funding agencies
Calculate and record indirect costs to the general ledger
Routinely serve as clerical personnel in the absence of an accounting clerk
Responsible for contract and grant closeout
Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related field
Knowledge of practices and procedures in grants and contracts
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience working with and interpreting federal regulations and policies
Experience with Microsoft Office
Provide excellent customer service in a courteous manner
Must be a team player

Salary Commensurate with education, training and experience
