POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing welding and manufacturing machines and equipment, ordering and tracking inventory and supplies, assisting instructors with lab material prep, and monitoring and maintaining filtration systems. This position works closely with students to help explain class project methods and practices while maintaining safety guidelines. They also work with student assistants, vendors, and manufacturers to diagnose equipment issues/problems.
 
The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Friday off.
