Job Description

Reports to:            Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Provide administrative and scheduling support to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, the Dean of Students, and the Director of Community Standards/Title IX Coordinator.
•    Welcome students, faculty, staff and guests at the reception desk in the Office of Student Affairs.
•    Perform clerical duties such as answering telephones and making calls, taking messages, preparing reports, and maintaining records and files. 
•    Track office funds, purchasing and expense reports; assist with financial systems submissions and reporting for Student Affairs staff.
•    Assist with scheduling meetings and events and organizing catering, set-up, and technology needs.
•    Assist students, parents and families with a variety of inquiries and topics.
•    Assist with organization of Student Affairs retreats, professional development, and social events.
•    Assist with logistics for special projects, events, and activities for Student Affairs, including campus traditions and annual events. 
•    Serve as the Student Affairs recruiter for open positions in Workday.
•    Recruit and supervise work study students for Student Affairs.
•    Maintain and order office supplies.
•    Perform related duties as assigned.

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred
•    Strong interpersonal skills with diverse constituents
•    Ability to work on a team and individually as well as partnering with internal and external constituents including other university departments and consultants
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•    Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities


This position works in-person on the Stevens Institute of Technology campus with no option for remote work.
