The Office of Undergraduate Admissions recruits potential applicants and selects students for the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. The Admissions team embraces the mission of the university and the goals of the undergraduate admissions office which include attracting and enrolling a diverse cohort of first year and transfer students via a robust recruitment and enrollment initiatives plan that has equity and inclusion as its guiding principle.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Campus Visit Programming, the Admissions Counselor will be a member of the Campus Visit team with responsibilities that include the selection, training and management of our paid tour guide staff and a student tour guide coordinator. The successful candidate will have the ability to motivate and inspire this student group who are an important and compelling component of our campus visit programming. Additionally, the candidate will provide support for other on-campus or virtual programming that would benefit from a student tour guide perspective or other programming that supports enrollment goals.
Participating in Committee Based Evaluation, the Admissions Counselor reads and evaluates first-year and transfer applications as part of a team and participates in the selection process. Additionally, they will participate in recruitment events both on and off campus as well as virtually and manage an assigned geographic territory.
