The Bridge summer program is a six-week residential experience for in-coming freshmen. The program helps the students begin their transition to Stevens, and features coursework, tutoring, counseling, workshops and cultural/social activities.
The Tutor-Counselor/Resident Assistants (TCs) are pivotal to the success of the program. They reside with the students, supervise them in and out of the classroom, facilitate all tutoring activities, and collaborate with other staff members to plan/coordinate special activities & events. They serve as role models, frequently become the students’ mentors and/or friends. Additionally, the TCs provide invaluable assistance to the faculty and often serve as the liaison between the students, the faculty and the administrators.
Due to the demands of the position TCs may not concurrently be enrolled in summer classes or hold another job. Employment period is June 27th, 2022- August 5th, 2022.
