Bachelor’s degree and two years of progressively responsible professional human resources management experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

Bachelor’s degree with directly related compensation experience including salary survey submissions, market data analysis, HRIS reporting, salary structure administration, FLSA classifications and position salary analysis. Proficient with analytical and statistical tools and PC programs related experience in compensation or an equivalent level of education, training and experience. Advanced spreadsheet proficiency to manipulate, interpret, analyze and present data. Ability to gauge effectiveness of the organization’s total rewards program and translate data into solutions to continually improve programs and practices. Experience working in fast-paced, team-oriented environment with quickly shifting priorities. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations. Demonstrated excellence in communications and strong listening skills. Strong customer service orientation and sense of integrity. Excellent analytical, organizational and consultative skills. The Department of Human Resources at N.C. A&T is seeking a dynamic and accomplished human resources professional to lead the total rewards function for the university. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources, the Compensation Manager provides leadership and manages the design, development, implementation and maintenance of compensation and classification policies and programs to increase employee engagement and enable strategic success. In partnership with HR and University leadership, the incumbent administers pay structures, analyzes, and recommends compensation and workforce planning to ensure system sustainability and effectiveness. The Compensation Manager will serve as a consultant and subject matter expert to university leadership.
