Job Summary
Auburn University invites interested applicants for the position Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. The individual in this position is responsible for assisting the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Performance with designing and implementing Sports Performance programs for Olympic Sports Programs.
Essential Functions
Provide training for a year-round sport-specific strength and conditioning program for 15 Division I intercollegiate sports with an emphasis on Olympic Sports.
Work closely with the two additional Strength and Conditioning Coaches to develop a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for all sports programs.
Assist in the daily operations, scheduling, and maintenance of strength and conditioning facilities
Design and implement a comprehensive strength and conditioning program as related to injury prevention and performance enhancement.
Regularly attend practice & competitions for assigned sports.
Collaborate with Sports Medicine, Team Physician and Physical Therapists on rehabilitation strategies and return to play protocols for athletes. Work with Sports Performance coaches to incorporate injury prevention exercises in workouts and practices.
Ability and willingness to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations
