The Office of Undergraduate Admissions recruits potential applicants and selects students for the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. The Admissions team embraces the mission of the university and the goals of the undergraduate admissions office which include attracting and enrolling a diverse cohort of first year and transfer students via a robust recruitment and enrollment initiatives plan that has equity and inclusion as its guiding principle.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Communications, the Admissions Counselor will be a member of the Communications team with responsibilities that may include editing of web pages, print publications, emails and social media posts. The successful candidate will have the ability to meet deadlines and possess strong writing skills. Attention to detail is another key to success along with a creative approach.
Participating in Committee Based Evaluation, the Admissions Counselor reads and evaluates applications as part of a team and participates in the selection process. Additionally, they will participate in recruitment events both on and off campus as well as virtually and manage an assigned geographic territory.
