Communications and Marketing Manager
WWAMI Medical Education Program
$50,019 annually or more, depending on experience and education
The WWAMI Communications and Marketing Manager ensures effective internal and external communications by leading and collaborating on communication and marketing efforts within the unit and across campus. This position advances the reputation of WWAMI and its programs by acting as the chief content strategist to create purposeful and creative communications that are tied to the University's brand and messaging. The incumbent provides communications and marketing leadership in a variety of areas, including alumni relations, enrollment, advancement, social media, media and public relations, special events, and publications.
Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field and two years of communications experience OR a combination of education and related experience totaling 6 years.
Experience with journalistic writing, news releases and story generation.
Experience editing and proofreading professionally.
Experience applying web design principles, printing processes, graphics formats, and effective design principles.
Masters degree in communications, marketing or public relations or a related field.
Communications or design experience, preferably in higher education.
Experience planning and executing marketing plans and initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
Demonstrated ability to translate technical or specialized information for public use and understanding.
Experience using a content management system for publishing web content.
Working knowledge of web marketing principles.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Occasional travel to the University of Idaho, Moscow, ID.
