Position Summary
The Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness will work directly with the Executive Director to collect, develop, analyze, and communicate Center data and other information to stakeholders to support informed decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning.

Using this data, the Coordinator will also serve as an internal consultant to help realize the Center’s mission and strategic plan. In executing these responsibilities, the Coordinator will have responsibility for four key components: (1) analyzing and reporting on progress against the School’s strategic plan, which cuts across all mission areas. (2) collaborate with unit heads in the annual academic planning process. (3) overseeing the BANNER database system. (4) supervise the implementation of retention initiatives.

In this position you will:

  • Promote the mission of the Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC) to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
  • Complete required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the advancement of the Center’s programs and strategic plan;
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of BANNER policy and procedures;
  • Provide assessment support to academic programs and administrative units;
  • Participate in the annual review process of outcomes assessment reports and program reviews;
  • Provide supervision of the Office Assistant;
  • Liaison to the University Center for Academic and Workforce Development (UCAWD) to develop BANNER and ARGOS reports, and ad hoc data analysis
  • Collaborate with the Director of Administrative Services in developing budget requests during the Annual Operational Meeting
  • Maintenance of BANNER information or BANNER related computer applications;
  • Advise the Executive Director on matters pertaining to minority recruitment and retention
  • Work with the Instructional Services Unit to determine eligibility of students for graduation

Minimum Qualifications

  • The Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness must have a minimum of an earned Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 3 years of relevant experience, of which 2 of those years include working with a diverse workforce population.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to work well with students, faculty, staff, and employers.
  • Must be available to work weekends and evenings and have a strong working knowledge of best practices in the field.
  • Ability to function in a team environment and work across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Strong, analytical problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in working with the BANNER database system and ARGOS.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with 1 year or relevant experience working in adult education.
