Involves analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs and issues in support of the student fee portfolio of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs (VCSA). Support the Wellness Fund and Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Student Services and Fees as well as their subcommittees. Facilitates meetings, supervises student employees, and oversees the administration of two grant-giving funds.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Proposes, leads and participates on policy and planning committees and working groups. Researches and summarizes best practices in field. Provides high-level staff support to three campus-wide committees.Convenes leaders of student fee discretionary funds. Conducts stakeholder analysis and facilitates decision-making and sustainable agreements across stakeholder groups. Helps committees understand the context for their decisions. Makes high level contacts of a sensitive nature across campus stakeholders, requiring discretion and diplomacy in order to negotiate with campus administrators and student leaders.
- Provides highly complex analyses across a broad spectrum of student fee programs, policies and initiatives impacting five campus divisions. Develops and advocates solutions to system issues, including developing and administering new student fee systems, policies, and processes. Develops proposals, recommendations, and systems to guide the allocation, use, accountability, and stewardship of student fee funding. Designs grantee reporting and auditing system.
- Develops and coordinates committee and funding communications, including trainings, written materials, websites, and ongoing communications. Implements detailed administration of grant cycles, including application processes, vetting, decision-making, funding allocations, and grantee reporting. Provides grantee advising, verbally and in writing, regarding development of proposals, budgets, and outcome measures.
- Provides analyses for complex financial, data, systems, and resource projects working directly with all levels of administrators and student leaders. Analyzes grantee reports for themes and escalation of problems and issues. Tracks funding allocations and uses. Develops institutional knowledge of student fee history, policies, and practices.
- Leads a team of student employees who coordinate Wellness Fund operations and support CACSSF's grant-giving cycles. Provide advising and support to the Committee on Student Fees.
- Collaborates with departments such as Student Affairs and campus finance, human resources, Student Affairs communications, and VCSA immediate office to coordinate the implementation of student fee funding.
- Proposes new activities to minimize implicit bias in grant-making and to support inclusiveness in the grant-giving process.

Salary & Benefits
$75,400 - $99,700 annually (salary commensurate with experience). Includes full eligibility to UC Benefits Plan.
