The Transfer Center CLASE Mentor under direction from assigned supervisor, perform a variety of duties to assist and support students participating in the CLASE Transfer Mentor program. As a mentor provide peer-to- peer mentoring services, participate in events with mentees, follow up and check on progress of mentees, invite mentees to events or activities related to college transfer, and accompany lead mentor and mentees to transfer events on and off campus.
Students must be enrolled in 12+ units for Fall and Spring and 6+ units for Summer.
South Orange County Community College District is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for tutoring. The purpose of an Embedded Tutor is to provide additional support to students within and beyond the classroom. They will work closely with the course’s instructor to develop and run workshops, act as a model student, and help to facilitate writing and reading comprehension activities.
