Description

Job Summary
A key member of the Purchasing Team responsible for supporting the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Department on all aspects of contract management. The primary area of responsibility is to draft, negotiate finalize, and maintain an extensive range of Procurement contracts in close coordination with Strategic Sourcing Staff and Management.
Manage the contract review process from contract request initiation to execution and repository filing by utilizing the Tufts Contract Management System, Jaggaer, for all agreements in a timely manner.
Draft and negotiate Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments, Riders, Software and Hardware License Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Business Associate Agreements and other relevant Procurement contracts.
Must work closely with Tufts Business partners to understand contractual needs and serve as the main liaison with third party contracting representatives.
Collaborate with the Office University Counsel and provide input in the development of, and maintenance & configuration tracking of contract templates
Maintain up-to-date status of contract workflow and provide inputs to drive summary dashboards of completed, in process, and expiring contracts
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements
The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years’ relevant experience. Paralegal training and/or certification helpful, but not required.
Extensive experience contract drafting and negotiation
Precise attention to detail with superior skills tracking changes and maintaining version control of legal documents.
Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience working with a contract management software a plus.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong capacity to prioritize work and projects
Excellent collaboration and team leadership skills.
