Position Summary
The University at Buffalo Libraries seek a tech-savvy and service-oriented leader to join the management team for the LINKT Center, where Learning and Instruction pursue New Knowledge through Technology. The LINKT Head of Education Technology Integration manages the day-to-day operations of the Education Technology Integration Services Team. They will consult with library faculty and liaisons, academic schools and departmental faculty and staff, students and other University personnel concerning the integration of multimedia materials and equipment to support their instructional, meeting and special event requests. The incumbent will maintain a working relationship with other University at Buffalo departments involved in the planning and support of instructional technology development and implementation.

As the LINKT Head of Education Technology Integration, your key responsibilities will include:
Planning and overseeing the maintenance and implementation of technology in Libraries classrooms, meeting rooms and special events, including providing support and immediate problem solving at the point of need.
Actively managing the performance of professional staff to ensure key outcomes are achieved and training needs are identified and resolved.
Overseeing and implementing workflows for the equipment loan program, video recording and editing services and public service spaces in Silverman Library.
Researching trends in educational technology and their implementation.
Maintaining records for departmental services, equipment and room use and preparing statistical reports.
Collaborating with library colleagues to facilitate the use of audiovisual materials to support classroom instruction, including streaming materials.
Consulting with academic departmental faculty, library faculty and liaisons, students and other campus departments concerning technology needs for instruction and projects.

Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution, or equivalent.
Understanding and current knowledge of audio and video recording and editing technologies.
Proficiency with overseeing technology support for meeting and instruction rooms in a library or similar environment.
Experience implementing new technology in a professional environment; comfort with and interest in new technology.
Experience consulting with faculty to integrate multimedia resources into course materials, including streaming databases, or other types of instructional content.
Ability to maintain relationships with multimedia resources distributors and troubleshoot access to said materials in the classroom, whether on-site or remote.
Functional knowledge of integrated library systems.
Experience with developing departmental policies and workflows.
Experience supervising professional staff, including assigning and managing tasks and overseeing departmental operations.
Experience supervising student assistants and application of student employment policies and related guidelines.
Ability to use assessment tools and data to analyze instructional technology support and clearly communicate findings in written reports.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to multi-task.
Working knowledge of standard IT ticketing systems.
