The NIU MBA program offers innovative and integrative programming, with a curriculum that combines business theory with practical skills, along with flexible delivery models available in four formats.

Position Summary
The primary focus of the Graduate Student Experience and Engagement Coordinator is to work with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs, Department Chairs, MBA Office staff and international partners, to promote graduate degree programs, global programs, and increase student engagement in program formats. The work requires some evening and weekend hours, especially during peak recruitment times, and allows for a mix of in-person and remote work flexibility year-round.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Graduate Student Experience and Engagement Coordinator will support MBA marketing strategy, oversee international study abroad programs, plan and execute events, assist with the planning of international trips, manage student programs, communicate with domestic and international prospective/current students about program requirements, and provide support throughout the student lifecycle. This position would be required to remain in constant communication with our partners to ensure smooth program delivery, contract negotiations, marketing, and student support.

Minimum Required Qualifications (Civil Service)
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
One (1) year (12 months) of work experience in roles that focus on relationship building/customer service, marketing, program management, and/or working with student populations.

Preferred Qualifications (Civil Service)
Ability to speak a foreign language (Spanish or Mandarin preferred)
Experience living, studying, or working in an international country
Experience working with graduate programs
