The College of the Canyons Foundation is seeking a full-time Fundraising Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Director of Development of the College of the Canyons Foundation, performs a variety of complex and specialized duties including; administrative, clerical, specialized office support functions, advancement of fundraising initiatives and projects, responsible for coordinating all aspects of Foundation special events. Serves as a confidential aide to the Director and/or other professional staff providing them with support of clerical duties involving the Foundation’s fundraising programs. Specifically, this position will assist with fundraising efforts including; planning, accounting work, financial analysis, donor prospecting, solicitation and reporting as well as specialized administrative and clerical functions in support of Foundation programs and budgets. The Coordinator maintains responsibility and duties related to special event coordination, alumni communications, and alumni development. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in a clerical position as an office coordinator with experience in aspects of event coordination, an in depth knowledge of fundraising activities and programs. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook in a Windows environment; experience in administrative software system, accounting, record keeping, donor cultivation, donor prospecting and outreach activities. Experience in database management, online communications and website management with, knowledge of, and demonstrated effectiveness in proven methods of fundraising, volunteer management, and public relations as well as an ability to coordinate large groups activities. Advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and Excel is desirable.
Education:
Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree (60 semester units) from an accredited college or university is required. Two additional years of related experience in addition to that identified above may be substituted for each year (30 semester units) of education requirement. Additional education or Bachelor’s degree desirable.
