Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide (ERAU-W) announces a new opportunity within the Office of Professional Education (OPE). The Program Manager (PM) provides leadership and strategic management of Continuing and Professional Education courses. The PM will position ERAU-W as a premier provider to public and private sector organizations around the country.
The PM must collaborate with faculty and staff across ERAU-W, with senior university administration leaders, and with faculty and staff across our sister campuses. The PM should be comfortable leading and setting internal strategy as well as identifying and leveraging optimal external relationships. The PM will need to understand and help expand the profile of professional education program offerings as well as have an understanding of the wider OPE market trends. The PM will work closely with employers to tailor content to meet corporate needs, assist in the creation of new courses not limited to micro-credentials, stackable certificate programs and micro-masters, partner with content development leaders and instructional designers to operationalize these initiatives.
The PM is responsible for developing and implementing strategic business analysis to the various business units by gaining an in-depth understanding of each units business strategy, process, services, road map, and the context in which each area operates. Also responsible for reviewing assigned strategic business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological inefficiencies, suggest areas for improvement through process improvement and implementation of new technologies.
7-10 years of progressive experience in customer service, sales, management, finance, administration, project management, or related field
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience synthesizing complex information and developing a high-level strategic message
Must have a proven record of accomplishment of developing business, instituting strategic client relationship management in both the private and public sectors
Relationship sales and marketing acumen with proven ability to grow a profitable business professional unit
Experience with business development or as a consultant for an organization with sales exceeding $50 million annually
Familiarity with the latest in professional and continuing education product design and delivery techniques including technology-enabled innovations
Strong capability to communicate credibly with executives at the highest levels and with other key stakeholders (internal and external)
International experience and global perspective
Superior communication skills at all levels with the ability to engage clients and team members in contributing to the mission of the organization
Clear managerial skills leading and providing direction to a highly productive team in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment committed to exceptional quality
Experience preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects
Serving in a leadership role within higher education, continuing & professional education setting, adult education setting
