Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Didactic Education (Director III) organizes, plans and directs the Didactic Training of Physician Assistant students at Kean University. This is a twelve-month position for a program that teaches entry-level physician assistant students and supervises didactic education during the fall, spring, and summer terms. Responsibilities include managing program operations related to the education and preparation of Physician Assistant students; developing, implementing and assessing goals, clinical practices, policies and procedures; facilitating quality learning experiences for students during didactic education; and performing related work as required. The Director may be required to teach two in-load courses each semester (spring and fall) in addition to assigned managerial duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college and a minimum of three years of professional experience in higher education is required. Current NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey and a minimum of three years of clinical experience as a PA is preferred. Prior experience as a Director of Didactic Education or equivalent role is also preferred.
