Overview
This position entails the coordination of all processes involved in preparing and administering didactic exams, providing educational support activities to faculty, staff and students as well as coordinating processes involved in clearing graduating class in a given academic year. The position will be with the Office of Academic Affairs, an office that supports academic activities for all departments within the school of dental medicine.
What You'll Do
- Inputs and format exam questions in examsoft
- Make sure exams are assigned to the right dental class and accommodations are granted to right students
- Work with Student Proctor Administrator in making sure enough proctors are assigned for each exam
- Keep track and update exam schedules
- Create exam seating chart based on student roaster
- Troubleshoot any exam issues before, during and after exam administration
- Print out necessary hardcopies such as paper exams, passcodes, exam instructions, seating charts, door signs etc
- Administer exams in-person or remotely on exam dates.
- Coordinates makeup exams for students that miss original exam dates
- Respond to students’ inquiries on grading challenges
- Publish students’ grades in Canvas
- Provide necessary support to faculty, staff and students in the use of educational technologies particularly
- providing access to users, creating course shells and troubleshooting issues within our Leaning Management System – Canvas
- Assist in training workshops as needed
- Coordinate processes involved in clearing graduating class
What We're Looking For
Minimum Required Experience, Education and Background
- Typically, a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of administrative experience. Preferred B.A. or B.S. degree in relevant field
- Demonstrate ability to provide professional customer service, communication skills, as well as superior collaboration skills. Ability to communicate skillfully with and translate between technical and non-technical faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to navigate stressful situations in a professional manner, attention to detail/accuracy and ability to manage tasks that have competing deadlines
- Experience working in higher education is a plus
- Must at least have experience using online education platforms, MS Office suite, and Outlook. Experience using Canvas LMS, and Examsoft is a plus
- Must be able to work as part of a team and individually with limited supervision
- Must be able to work in-person for the most part
