The Administration and Business Operations Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus in Daytona Beach is currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join the team. The business analyst provides administrative support to the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Chief Business Officer and assists the members of the department in various projects. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting senior management, comfortable being a liaison between the Vice Chancellor and university staff, business leaders, governmental agencies, and the public. This challenging role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior customer service orientation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The business analyst should have strong analytical skills and experience conducting strategic data analysis in the academic and administrative areas.
In close collaboration with the Budget Director, assists with gathering vendor and financial data; conducts financial review and analysis; assists in the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget.
Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at an advanced level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones.
Develop business intelligence reporting and analysis, provide and support the implementation of business solutions by establishing relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying strategic business needs; monitoring and evaluating progress and results; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.
In close collaboration with the marketing department:
Responsible for the execution of WW’s communication plan, brand strategy across multiple channels (i.e., CRM, website, email marketing, conferences, social media, and corporate presentations).
Responsible for developing, overseeing, conducting and managing market research to determine the needs of the industry and developing strategies to offer relevant courses to corporations and industry.
Responsible for monitoring, analyzing and anticipating marketing trends that will enhance partnership opportunities with educational providers and other organizations.
Responsible for managing event management such as tradeshows, speaker series in close collaboration with career services, campus operations, university administration, and deans to support the university, students and our degree programs.
Experience working with budgets
Experience working with financial databases and reporting tools
Experience working with business and industry leaders
Must have a strong understanding of business intelligence and data modeling best practices
Experience working with business intelligence software from both administrative and development experience
Ability to communicate with all levels of users including ERAU Worldwide Leadership team
Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, staff, and external constituents
Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment and in teams
Experience working with Oracle Financials, Power BI, and SQL
Experience working in a financial capacity at a college or university
